MINECRAFT EARTH AVAILABLE NOW IN THE UK!

Minecraft Earth is finally here (UK) on iOS (10+) and Android (8+) which means you can now mine and craft in the real world via your AR-enabled device.

Pokémon Go popularized AR games for the masses and made a lot of money as a result. Microsoft imagined a slice of that pie, so it’s also jumped into the augmented reality scene with Minecraft Earth.

Minecraft Earth allows you to play Minecraft in the real world via your iOS and/or Android device using AR to build, explore, find things, and play with friends.

In Minecraft Earth you will roam the IRL for objects (monsters, building items) to create your own mini Minecraft constructions which can then be shared with friends by literally inviting them to see your achievements and building.

It’s not just the building aspect that is a part of Minecraft Earth, though exploration (again with friends) is also present allowing you to delve into crypts and battle fearsome cripplers.

Minecraft Earth looks very similar to Pokémon Go and heck, Niantic may have contributed to developing the game for Microsoft.

It’s free to play but that clearly means there are in-app purchases.

These take the form of in-game currency flavored with Minecoins and Rubies.

I still haven’t played Minecraft Earth, so whether those in-app purchases are stuck in your throat and you can’t help but be able to enjoy it still has to be seen but rest assured I’ll be upset about it on Twitter if that is the case.

You can download Minecraft Earth at any of the links below:

Thanks.
